The best gift I ever received came from God. He gave me the gift of salvation, which not only demonstrated how much He loved me (Romans 5:8), but also gave me new life (2 Corinthians 5:17) and a promise of a heavenly home (1 Peter 1:4). When I think about all I received when Jesus forgave my sins and became my Saviour, my heart is filled with unspeakable joy! “Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.” (1 Peter 1:8-9)
S – Sins are forgiven
- “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;” – Ephesians 1:7
A – Always in His presence
- “Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.” – Deuteronomy 31:6
L – Life everlasting
- “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” – John 3:16
V – Victory over EVERYTHING!
- “But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” – 1 Corinthians 15:57
A – Angelic protection
- “For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.” – Psalm 91:11
T – Temptation deliverance
- “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” – 1 Corinthians 10:13
I – Indwelling of His Spirit
- “Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.” – John 14:17
O – Overcoming Faith
- “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” – 1 John 5:14
N – Nonstop communication with God
- “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” – Jeremiah 33:3
